SUMMARY:

The model candidate for this MCAD (Mechanical – Computer Aided Design) role is a highly motivated mechanical engineering design professional with the ability to manage multiple designs simultaneously. Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software. With a strong understanding of DFM/DFA using IPC standards and GD&T. The ability to contribute as an individual to a team’s overall goal and objective and collaborate with others. Working closely with RF Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, component Engineers, Software and Process Engineers to create designs from concept to test.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with RF Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Component Engineers, and Process Engineers to create designs from concept to schematic, to layout and assembly.
• Peer reviews from CAD Engineer to stay up to date with Qorvo designs.
• Complete mechanical and electrical fabrication and product assembly drawings, using Altium, Solidworks, Cadence Allegro and AutoCAD.
• Generate ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) to release completed drawings and bills of material
• Implement changes to existing documentation based on input from engineering and the manufacturing groups
• Audit bills of material as they are transferred from engineering to manufacturing to ensure all documentation is transferred properly

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency with MCAD tools such as SolidWorks Premium \ EPDM and AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret Manufacturer Data Sheets.
• Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively manage timelines and expectations, and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in both electrical and mechanical design work, experience with Altium a big plus. Solidworks a must have.
