Test Engineer

Process Development Engineer

Guidance and being able to contribute to projects that mattered were two big takeaways from Tyler’s internship. In his intern role, Tyler was a part of the Ebeam lithography process engineering team. He quickly assimilated himself into the team and collaborated with process engineers, device engineers, manufacturing, and equipment engineers to bring a tool he helped develop into production. It was also a gratifying experience to work on codes that are currently still in daily use by the team.

Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

As a Qorvo employee, a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer with the Greensboro prototype assembly, Wesley is developing a system that eliminates the time the assembly team spends searching for stencils. The system has reduced the stencil inventory by 33 percent. “My decision to work for Qorvo was based on the company culture, cutting-edge environment, and the constant challenges,” says Wesley. “I was awestruck by the products and always had an interest and subsequent respect for their intricacies. The fast-paced and ever-changing prototype lab provided me with many opportunities to make an impactful change in a manufacturing environment, which is my passion.”

Senior Design Engineer

Not all Qorvo interns enter through the engineering route. Case-in-point, Emma, who graduated with a Molecular Biology degree. In addition to her science degree, Emma felt it was essential to understand technology. She took an internship with Qorvo Biotechnologies, where she focused on immunodetection of proteins and became involved in assay development for a biosensor project.

Soon after completing her internship, she started her role as a Qorvo Research & Development Scientist Engineer. She now works on projects that support various assays for customers. Emma is grateful for her internship. “My internship prepared me for my current job by providing me with good foundational knowledge in BAW technology,” says Emma.

“Nothing made me feel more valued than enjoying a toasted bagel and cream cheese with my teammates every Friday morning before my meetings,” says Trent. While he may have had an appreciation for bagels, it was also the comradery that Trent treasured throughout his internship – as teamwork was essential to his role. Trent’s responsibility was to document how the quality team prepared for and executed a device production ramp. This position required him to be a fundamental part of the team by attending team meetings and asking lots of questions in order to publish the work instructions vital to production.

Now that Trent completed his internship, he is a Product Quality Engineer at Qorvo. He serves on several teams that are tasked with qualifying technologies that are being implemented into Qorvo products. “What I learned during my internship made it easy to transition to my current position,” says Trent. “I was amply prepared as I was already familiar with the processes and knowledge that I needed to move things forward.”

赖安worked on a range of projects throughout his internship, offering him valuable experience in both his roles as an engineer and a professional in the workforce. During his internship, he had hands-on engineering projects such as ASH recipe and hardware Quals, which required running experiments then analyzing and presenting parametric data to ERB. “The opportunity to work on these in-depth projects has shaped me into an all-around engineer,” says Ryan. “My internship prepared me professionally and enabled me to bring previous experience in research and semiconductor devices to my current Qorvo role.”

One of the most notable things Navneet learned during his internship was how real-world design is so different from theory. As an intern, he worked on wideband low noise amplifiers for Wi-Fi group. “My manager, my mentor, and the entire team taught me so much about the tools, challenges and the solutions one faces when you design in reality versus what you learn in college,” says Navneet. “This was vital to my successes as an intern, as well as in my new role at Qorvo.”

In this role, she develops strategic approaches to communicate Qorvo’s pioneering and innovative products and applications. “After graduate school, I was searching for a place that would challenge me and energize me,” says Alexis. “I definitely found it at Qorvo and it’s my favorite part of my job.”

A position opened that fit my experience and interest and I jumped on it.”

When it gets stressful, we lighten it up and work through the hard stuff together.”
